Key Responsibilities / Duties

I. Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to the accounts receivable team.
• Manage the accounts receivable department.
II. Operational Responsibilities
• Effective supervision of the accounts receivables team.
• Effective and timely collection of all accounts receivable
• Timely reconciliations of accounts with insurance and corporate clients.
• Set and achieve weekly and monthly deliverables.
• Prepare and execute operational plans to achieve set DSO targets
• Timely receipt and allocation of payments.
• Preparation of weekly & monthly reports.
• Prepare monthly rejection rates per facility.
• Prepare debtor collection reports with recommendations to management on inactive debtors
• Engage and maintain relationships with insurance and direct companies.
• Manage and collect cash receivables at the hospital.
• Participate in weekly and monthly cash flow as well as cash forecasting. Engage external debt
collectors in the recovery of old debts.

Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills)
Minimum Qualifications

• B Sc./B. Com in Accounts, Finance or any related field from a reputable university.
• A registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK
Desirable Qualifications
• MBA
• Registration with Institute of Credit Management Kenya (ICM) is desirable.

Experience required

At least 4 years’ experience managing Credit Control/Accounts Receivables in healthcare
Hospital experience is essential.
